Orthodox Black Tea (First Flush)

Orthodox black tea refers to the traditional method of hand-picking, rolling and fermentation of tea leaves in a way that the tea acquires a strong flavour, along with an amber colour. This black tea is made from the Berinag tea leaves picked during the first harvest (first flush) in the spring season, which imparts a mellower flavour and colour to it, as compared to the second flush. Berinag Orthodox Black Tea takes slightly longer to infuse, so it is advised to strain the tea after a good 7-10 minutes of steeping in boiling hot water.
