Orthodox Black Tea (Second Flush)

Orthodox black tea refers to the traditional method of hand-picking, rolling and fermentation of tea leaves in a way that the tea acquires a strong flavour, along with an amber colour. This royalty from the Himalayas is made from the Berinag tea leaves picked during the second harvest in the summer season (second flush), which imparts a stronger flavour and colour to it, as compared to the first flush. Like the first flush tea, this tea too takes longer to infuse, so it is advised to strain the tea after a good 7-10 minutes of steeping in boiling hot water.
